Backpacking & Fly Fishing Washington's Alpine Lakes Wilderness With Kids

We try to get our family outdoors as much as possible and for the last few years, we've done an annual backpacking trip over Labor Day weekend. This year we hiked into Alpine Lakes Wilderness from the Salmon La Sac area. With smoke showing up on the third day, we cut our trip a day short but still had a great time on the trail and by the water.
